The CARF manual outline is a comprehensive CARF document AND IS ABSOLUTELY necessary for surveys.

This manual’s purpose is to outline the important sections of the CARF standards. It is a critical requirement for maintaining CARF accreditation. This outline document is important for organizations seeking and maintaining CARF accreditation.

I. Index: The first section of the company CARF manual should provide a clear and organized table of contents,

II. Grid: This section outlines present safety activities planned for the current year, and demonstrates the company’s commitment to safety.

III. Section One: Outside/External Inspections: This section contains documentation of all external inspections. including any recommendations made by all inspecting authorities. The section also includes evidence that the organization has addressed and remedied any issues found during external inspections.

IV. Tab/Section Two: Self-Inspections: This section includes self-inspection checklists for the past two years, and demonstrates the organization’s commitment to addressing safety problems.
